Virtual Art Exhibits: Steve Hernandez

This virtual exhibit space has been created to keep our past and future exhibitors visible to our patrons. We do hope that you enjoy this guide and we look forward to having live displays once we are able to fully open our doors to the public.

Steve Hernandez

Steve Hernandez was born in the Bronx, New York and at an early age moved to Rio Grande, Puerto Rico where his passion for painting developed.

Upon his return to New York as an adult, Steve felt a nostalgia towards the landscapes and places where he grew up in Puerto Rico. The sea, the sun, the foliage and the people of his beloved Puerto Rico became the true source of his inspiration for most of his paintings. To capture the vibrant colors and strategical views of its subjects, Steve attempts to transport the observer into spectacular places, full of color and life.

Steve has attended The San Juan Art League in Puerto Rico and continued his studies at Hunter College in New York City, but he is a self-taught artist. In this exhibition you will see the use of different mediums, such as oils, acrylics and pastels throughout his career.

You can reach me at shernans64@yahoo.com for any questions, comments or if you are interested in any of my art works.
