Milagros's Review:

Oh my goodness, the second book of The Hunger Games series, Catching Fire, left me on the edge of my seat. There was a serious love triangle in this book between Katniss, Peeta, and Gale. There was also a lot more action than in the first book. This book was a whirlwind of emotions, and I loved every second of it.

At the end of the previous book, Peeta and Katniss had BOTH won the Hunger Games. This has never happened before in the history of the games, so this was a very big deal in this book. Katniss and Peeta went from living in poverty, to living in riches. Just when the two of them believed that they were going to live their life in peace, President Snow announces the Quarter Quell. The Quarter Quell is another version of the Hunger Games, but the catch is that the past winners of the games compete instead of random civilians.

Catching Fire demonstrated Katniss’s emotions a lot more than in the first book. She showed her vulnerable side to Gale, her lifelong best friend. She showed that she is in love with Gale, but she’s also in love with Peeta. I hope she chooses Peeta, but that's just me. Trust me, read the book and you will feel the same.
