Milagros's Review:

If you are ready to get your heartstrings tugged, the Hunger Games: Mockingjay is the perfect book. This book had just the same amount of action as the previous two, but many tragic things happened that made me emotional. I won’t spoil them though, don’t worry.

Because of Katniss's rebellious actions, President Snow bombed District 12. He did this to threaten Katniss, and attempted to kill her family. Gale, Katniss's best friend, managed to save only a few hundred District 12 civilians through the woods. From there District 13 saved Gale and the refugees. Katniss was rescued in the arena of the Quarter Quell by the "not so destroyed" District 13. Peeta was captured at the end of the Quarter Quell games by the Capitol. President Snow tortured Peeta and brainwashed him to believe that Katniss was a monster, and a murderer. Katniss, with the help of District 13, ran a Monkingjay campaign to go against President Snow. This rebellion campaign helped save Peeta from the Capitol. In the end, Katniss lived on to have a happy life. Did she choose the traumatized Peeta, or the traitor Gale?  I guess you will have to find out.

This book truly dives into how much Katniss loves Peeta, and how she depends on his survival to keep her motivated. Katniss stands up to the Capitol once and for all in this book as well. This book series has brought me nothing but joy. I truly do recommend this book to anyone who loves action and romance.
