For Seniors and Those Who Love and Care for Them: Community Resources

The COVID-19 Pandemic has left our senior population most vulnerable and isolated. This resource has been developed with their needs in mind.

Community Resources

The United Way of Rockland offers a general community resource guide that has contact information for institutions that may be of help during this time. Phone numbers for organizations that can provide financial, employment, food, medical, prescription, rent and utility assistance is provided.

The Rockland County Office for the Aging provides services and events for senior residents.  Although programming is limited right now, some events have been scheduled.   For more news, check out their Facebook page.

The Rockland County Department of Social Services has received an allotment of funds from the U.S. Department of Treasury for rent and utility arrears; and rent and utility assistance, to be paid to landlords on behalf of tenants who have experienced unemployment or a reduction in household income; or incurred significant costs, or experienced other financial hardship due directly or indirectly to the COVID-19 pandemic through the Emergency Rental Assistance Program.
