Checkout Search Box
In previous versions, when visiting the checkouts page without having selected a patron, the page was empty. Now it shows a patron search box to help in selecting the patron.
Add Notes to Write-Offs
Staff can now add notes when writing off individual fines, voiding payments, issuing refunds, and others.
Send Email Receipts
Staff can now manually email a receipt from the payment line using the new ‘Receipt’ → ‘Email’ option.
New Circulation Rule Option
Item Type rules can now be configured to charge the patron a fine if a hold expires on the shelf. This is configured per library and per item type.
Holds Awaiting Pickup Fix
When cancelling hold requests that haven’t been picked up, it would jump back to the first tab after saving. Now Koha will display the correct tab after saving.
Local Holds Priority System Preference
Allow LocalHoldsPriority to fill by hierarchical groups system rather than individual library. This will improve holds routing for branch libraries and libraries with reciprocal hold agreements.
Boost Exact Title Matches in Search
Adds underlying code that boosts exact title matches when performing a catalog search. Searches for common titles like It, The Women, etc., should bring those expected titles to the top of the list. See this bug for more details.
Shelving Location Column
In previous versions, the Shelving Location was displayed beneath the Home Library in the Holdings table. In 25.05, shelving location now has its own sortable column:

Item Detail Quickmenu
On the items detail tab when viewing a bibliographic record, there is now a popout menu that allows you to jump directly to a desired barcode, reducing the need to scroll.
