Short and longer walks around Rockland County

Explore Locally

TIME TO EXPLORE LOCALLY

On Tuesday May 26, 2020 our Mid-Hudson Region, that includes Rockland, Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Orange, Ulster and Sullivan counties, began Phase I of New York’s five phase re-opening roadmap.  Fortunately things have gone well and we have continued to move forward. We hope that by observing social distancing rules and avoiding overcrowding that there will be continuing change and progress towards reaching our new and safe "normal."

So ...it's now time to get up out of your armchair and instead of your virtual activities go out and do some wandering. There are many things that are easy to do in Rockland.

Rockland's parks and other public spaces have re-opened with limitations. Some areas in our parks where social distancing cannot be achieved remain closed.

Rockland County parks are open for walking only. No groups are allowed in the parks at present and all restrooms, playgrounds, dog runs, picnic areas and pavilions are closed and will remain closed until further notice.
