The Newburgh Free Library’s Job & Continuing Education Information resources at the library and on the web are available to help with your information needs. Hunting for a job or finding a new career is easier when you have the right tools. Through our on-hand materials, useful websites and online databases you’ll be able to jump-start your job hunt and explore careers. Job Information Center

Black Pen on White Book Page Books and materials about creating resumes and cover letters can be found in the library's non-fiction collection under Dewey Decimal number 650.14, as well as in our specialized Job Information Center Collection. The collection also includes binders of  Civil Service job postings from New York StateOrange County, Dutchess County, the City of Newburgh and other local municipalities, as well as miscellaneous job postings as received from employers.

Sign up for a one-on-one career coaching session and get help writing resumes and cover letters, exploring career options, applying for jobs online, preparing for interviews, or learning how to use LinkedIn. Each session lasts one hour, and is conducted by Gregg Knowles, Career Consultant/Resume Writer. Call 845-325-9240 for an appointment.
