The HRC is a collaborative effort of the Orange County DSS and Catholic Charities of Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster. They suggest:
"If you are experiencing a housing emergency or crisis after the HRC office closes at 5pm, you should evaluate your situation to determine immediate housing options (Are there friends, family, or others with whom you can spend the night?). If you are unable to reach a temporary solution, call the After-Hours Hotline at 211."
Long-Term Housing and Property
- The CornerstoneSafe, affordable, well-designed, permanent supportive housing which includes 128 single room occupancy apartments including 12 artist lofts. The residence houses a mixed tenancy of adults including those living with mental health diagnoses and physical disabilities, veterans, the formerly homeless, artists in need of affordable live-work space and low and very low income working adults.
