Presenter Biography
Gerald (Jerry) Nichols currently serves as the Director of the Palmer Institute for Public Library Organization & Management at Long Island University. Nichols is the former Director of the Suffolk Cooperative Library System and is the editor of the Handbook for Library Trustees of NYS. As Chair of the NYS Regents’ Advisory Council on Libraries he oversaw the adoption of Creating the Future: a 2020 Vision Plan for Library Service in New York State.
