About Kindergarten Books
Kindergarten is a year full of fun and learning for children. It is the year many children first begin to read some words or books on their own.
On this page you will find great books to read to children of this age, who are absorbing vocabulary and sentence structures through richly worded picture book text.
You will also find Easy Readers for children just starting to recognize sight words and sounding out longer words. Books for first time readers are marked with a small orange dot on their spines within our Easy Reader section at the library.
