Sloatsburg Library Teen Scene: Battle of the Books

Sloatsburg and Suffern teens have teamed up to participate in a competition against other RCLS Libraries to see who can answer the most questions about eight books that they have read over the summer.  The goal of the program was to promote a love of reading in teens, to expose them to titles and authors that they might not encounter otherwise, to encourage them to think of their local public library as a resource for entertainment and to inspire teamwork and good sportsmanship in an atmosphere of friendly competition.

UPDATE: Although the Sloatsburg teens did not win first place, they had a lot of fun!  They especially loved the "goodie bags" and books they received after the battle.  Definitely a fun event.
