How it Works: Order > Schedule Appointment > Pickup
Step 1. Request Books, DVD's, CD's and other materials by using one of the following methods:
- Place your holds online using the RCLS Catalog.
- Call Reference Staff to get help placing holds. For Adult/Teen materials, call 845-623-4281 ext. 2. For Children's materials, call 845-623-4281 ext. 112. A Librarian will help you select materials, even if you don't know exactly what you want.
- Order a Grab Bag. Our Grab Bag Service allows you to fill out a brief form and select categories and genres that interest you. A Librarian will then put together a specially-curated selection of Books, Movies or Music for you. It's an easy and fun way to discover something new!
Step 2. After you receive an alert that your items are ready for you, call the Library at 845-623-4281 ext. 4 to schedule a curbside pickup time. Please do not come to get your items without first making an appointment. Pickup is available:
Monday - Thursday 11am - 7:30pm
Friday - Saturday 11am - 3:30pm
Step 3. After arriving at the Library at your appointment time, call the Library at 845-623-4281 ext. 4 from your car. If you do not have a cell phone, you should call the Library before you leave your house. Give us a description of your car when you call. Either open your trunk (preferred) or one of your back windows, return to your car, and wait for Library staff to deliver your items. Please hold up your Library Card with your windows closed when staff arrives. If you have items to return, please park after getting your books and walk the books to the book drop, being mindful of other people.
Items returned in the Book Drop will remain on your account for up to 7 days for quarantining. They will be checked in FINE FREE.
Do you need accommodations? Please call us at 845-623-4281 to discuss your needs.
