Assistance for Seniors

Town of Newburgh Friends of Seniors
845-564-8936

Town of Newburgh Friends of Seniors is a volunteer organization sponsored by the town, the Orange County Office for the Aging, and Jewish Family Service of Orange County. The group provides volunteers who will drive town residents age 60 and over to doctor appointments and grocery shopping. Volunteers will also do the grocery shopping for those who are unable to shop for themselves or will visit for an hour a week to provide companionship.

A two week notice is preferred for ride requests. There is no charge for this service. Our volunteers are trained and screened and donate their time. Anyone interested in receiving this service can call our helpline at 564-8936.

Volunteers are also needed, especially drivers. If you are interested, call 564-8936 and leave a message.
