Goshen Genealogy: Marriage Index

Our Marriage Announcements Index collects many of the marriage announcements published in the local Goshen newspaper, the Goshen Independent from 1820 to 1904.

Our Marriage Index is not yet available online, so you must come to the library to search for marriage announcements.

How to use the Marriage Index.

1.  Look up a marriage announcement by the groom's name or bride's maiden name.

 
2.  When you find the record for the marriage you are looking for, it will contain source information for the announcement.

 
3.  Use that source information to locate the announcement in our Marriage Announcement Collection, which is organized chronologically.

Our Church Records may also have information about marriages and geneology.
